Safety Day in E.ON España
More than 400 people joined the Safety Day in Puente Nuevo
On November 6, the Safety Day took place in the facilities of the power plant of Puente Nuevo, which involved more than 400 workers that are currently realizing the environmental fitting in the plant. The General Director of Generation, Javier Anzola, and the Human Resources Director, Javier Gonzalez, attended the event.
The Safety Day began with the workers cleaning and collecting material in the work areas, which prevents incidents in the daily work.
Afterwards, they carried out a successful emergency simulation, in which all workers gathered within 12 minutes at a previously fixed meeting point with the chief officers doing the recounting and verification.
Following, they met to demonstrate graphics of work related accident rates at Puente Nuevo indicating the frequency and severity.
During the day, prizes were handed out of a previously held contest and which re-quested the collaboration of all workers involved in the plant of Puente Nuevo. The employee Manuel Cano was rewarded due to his suggestion to improve safety.
The HR Director, Javier Gonzalez, gave a speech in which he noted that “we have lowered the frequency and severity rate, but the objective of all of us and of the com-pany is to reach the objective ‘Zero Accidents’ ”.
The day was closed by the General Director of Generation, Javier Anzola, who em-phasized the importance of security for E.ON, encouraging the participants to continue working together with the company to achieve an improvement in this area.
