The cleanest technology
E.ON España has a system of Hydro Power Stations composed of three groups of plants located in the north of Spain. The aforementioned groups are the following.
THE AGUAYO-AGUILAR PLANT GROUP
This group comprises the four hydroelectric plants in Aguayo, Torina, Besaya and Aguilar, which are located on the Torina, Besay and Pisuerga rivers in the provinces of Palencia and Cantabria. It has an installed capacity of 389 MW.
THE NAVIA PLANT GROUP
This group is made up by the Arbon, Doiras and Silvon plants, which are located on the Navia River. It has an installed capacity of 162 MW.
THE PICOS PLANT GROUP
This group is composed of five plants: the plants at Cama and Arenas, which are located on the Cares river, the plants at Urdon and La Paraya, located on the Urdon and Aller rivers respectively, and the Remolina Plant, which is located on the Alto Esla, to the north of the province of Leon. The group has a total installed capacity of 117 MW.
