Distribution
E.ON España distributes electricity in the Autonomous Communities of Galicia, Asturia, Castile and Leon and Cantabria, where the company has a network infrastructure of some 29,500 km to provide service to a base of over 650,000 customers.
In 2007, the company obtained a TIEPI (Interruption Time Equivalent to Installed Capacity) index rating of 1 hour and 35 minutes, which showed an improvement of 16% in comparison with the previous year, achieving the best quality index rating in its history. This milestone has been achieved even though our distribution zone is characterized by a particular orographical obstacle, with a large dispersion of consumption points that demand greater efforts and resources both at the time of constructing new infrastructures as well as when carrying out network maintenance tasks.
